Our history

Jim Lambert Founded the company in 1999

In 1999, Jim founded the company. At this time, the core focus was to provide information consulting services to business owners.

While at that, he noticed a major gap in the industry — small and mid-sized businesses were plagued with poor IT support, and there was not way to keep IT leaders accountable...

Jarrod Koch was providing network and software engineering services to businesses at the time. Being close friends, Jim and Jarrod began discussing how difficult it was for business leaders and IT leaders to form successful partnerships...

Jarrod Koch Joined DivergeIT as a partner

As Jim and Jarrod continued their discussions over several months, they identified a major core problem that, once solved, would create significant value for every business struggling with IT health and business alignment issues:

Business leaders and IT leaders needed a real-time, shared reporting system that allowed them to operate with the same set of status reports and success criteria that were understandable and measurable by both.

Jarrod joined as a partner. They began to envision a real-time, shared reporting system that could be instantly accessed and understood by both business leaders and IT leaders using green, yellow, and red color-coded status indicators...

We opened our first office in Manhattan Beach

In 2004, DivergeIT reached a significant milestone with the opening of our first office in Manhattan Beach. It became the birthplace of groundbreaking ideas, shaping our commitment to excellence.

Our proprietary RITIS® tool was launched here. The office became a hub of collaboration, attracting top talent and enabling us to better serve businesses in Southern California and beyond. We established strong relationships with clients who trust us to navigate the IT landscape and help them achieve their goals.

Robert Praul Joined

For 20 years Robert has been delivering superior IT solutions to a wide variety of industries including apparel, golf, manufacturing, retail, and entertainment. His wide expertise, focus, and drive has led him to become the IT Director of a number of multi-million dollar companies implementing powerful solutions that solve complex technical and business challenges in a cost effective way.

Robert has naturally risen to become an integral part of the success of the company and its operations.  He is an active supporter of Climbing For Kids, through which he has raised in excess of $30,000 for his summits of multiple American peaks

First Helpdesk Ticket was opened

In 2007, something exciting happened at DivergeIT. It was a special moment when we opened our very first helpdesk ticket. This was a big step for us, showing our commitment to helping our customers with their IT problems.

From that time onwards, we worked hard to provide fast and reliable solutions to the challenges they faced. Since that important moment, our helpdesk has grown tremendously. We have a team of skilled professionals who care deeply about solving problems quickly.

First Managed Service Agreement was executed

In 2008, DivergeIT made a big leap forward by signing our very first Managed Service Agreement. It was like stepping into a new world of IT support for businesses. We took the weight off their shoulders and handled all the nitty-gritty details of managing their IT systems, allowing them to focus on what they do best.

Since that moment, we've grown and improved, expanding our skills and services to better serve our clients. Each Managed Service Agreement we make is a promise to be there for businesses, providing top-notch support and custom solutions. We're like the secret sidekick, working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Systems Admin Team Created

In 2009, DivergeIT established a specialized team known as the Systems Admin Team. Since that epic moment, we've leveled up our technical skills and expanded our capabilities. This dedicated team works behind the scenes, fixing problems and keeping systems secure.

With them in action, we provide top-notch service and quick response times. At DivergeIT, we're all about making things run like clockwork, so our clients can focus on their business goals.

Moved office to El Segundo to accommodate Growth

In 2010, DivergeIT turned the page to an exciting new chapter as we packed our bags and moved into a fresh office space in El Segundo. This momentous decision was driven by our desire to accommodate our growing team and provide an environment where collaboration and innovation could thrive.

In 2011, Connor Bescos, a distinguished technology expert with over 13 years of experience in IT, joined the team. His expertise extends beyond migration projects, as he has also led network deployments that have significantly enhanced the infrastructure and security for several clients.
